Back under the lights of Stockholm's EFG studio, Aston Martin Aramco Esports drivers Duncan Hofland, Fabrizio Donoso and Otis Lawrence took to the track for the second event of the 2025 F1 Sim Racing World Championship.
A thrilling pole position and plenty more points took the Aston Martin Aramco F1 Esports Team's points tally to 64 after the season's first two events. Read on to hear from the team after a frenetic three days of racing.
Event two round-up and reaction
Event 2 kicked off with the fifth round of the Championship taking place at the iconic Silverstone Circuit. Otis secured four points with a top-10 finish while Fabrizio concluded the 26-lap race in P16.
Next up, a 22 laps race at the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. After starting P15, Otis gained six places and collected two points. Duncan also made up six places but just finished outside the points.
The seventh round of the season proved challenging, with Otis and Fabrizio having to settle for P14 and P15, respectively.
On the event's final day, the team took a virtual trip across the pond to race stateside at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA). Rookie Otis lit up the track with a sensational lap, securing pole position – his first in the series, just weeks after his maiden win in the Championship. After claiming a top five finish, the Welshman concluded the event tied for fifth in the Drivers' standings, while Duncan climbed a couple of places to finish P13.

"I finished P5 at COTA. It wasn't the result I wanted but it's still good points in the Drivers' Championship, where I'm joint fifth. It's been a decent event, maybe not the best. We scored points at three of the four races. I don't think I had the best luck, but the main thing is that we have the pace at all tracks.
"I cannot wait for Event Three; I'm very excited to see what we can do because I'm confident going into the final event of the season."

"Unfortunately I didn't score any points at this event. In Qualifying at Spa, I went out in Q1 after making a mistake on my final run. Then, in the race, I managed to make up six positions but it wasn't enough for points.
"At COTA, Qualifying was a little bit better. I was just a bit nervous on my final Q2 run, and I think that's why I went out and started P15. The race was alright and pace was good. I made up a position at the start, but I didn't have enough chances to make more moves.
"Next event, we have some decent tracks for us as a team, so we'll work hard to score more points then."

"I think we could have come away with more points if we'd absolutely maximised every opportunity. It's something we'll work on improving for the next event.
"For Duncan and myself, this event was especially hard, but we think we'll perform well in the final event which has some pretty good tracks for us as a team.
"For Otis, we have to make sure we provide him with the best tools both in Qualifying and in the races because we know he can be up there winning races. Hopefully Duncan and myself can match that kind of performance. I'm confident we'll have a very good last event."
