Together with Cognizant, Jess spent time with young girls in Austin to shine a light on different pathways into STEM careers, ahead of the United States Grand Prix.
The 'Make a Mark' arm of our ESG programme sees us strive to have a positive impact in the communities where we live, work and race, and our visit to Austin for the United States Grand Prix provided another opportunity for us to break down barriers and inspire the next generation.
We passionately believe in making a difference as we travel the world and, together with title partner Cognizant and AMF1 driver ambassador Jessica Hawkins, we travelled 20 miles north of the Circuit of the Americas to meet with young women at Girlstart.
Jess and several volunteers from Cognizant hosted an assembly and Q&A session, before spending time with the students to give them a chance to learn about Formula One and STEM opportunities in the sport.
Founded in 1997, Girlstart's mission is to increase girls' interest and engagement in STEM, inspiring them to embark on journeys to transform the world of tomorrow.
See the gallery below for some highlights from the Jess’ visit as we continue to climb together and work with Cognizant to help the next generation make their mark on the sport and beyond.
