The Mexico City Grand Prix has shown itself to have one of the greatest sporting atmospheres around, which was showcased in the fantastic photography produced during the race weekend.

We've curated a selection of our favourite images from the Mexico City GP weekend, featuring the close battles on track and unique ambience from across the weekend.

Lance was raring to get going in Mexico City on a weekend where he celebrated his 24th birthday.

Sebastian waved to the Mexican crowd during Friday's Fan Forum.

Sebastian got the team's weekend under way with a run on the Hard tyre in Free Practice One.

It was a quiet session for the team, hovering in the midfield in terms of performance while getting useful data.

FP2 was reserved for a Pirelli tyre test, and Sebastian clocked in plenty of laps in the extended session.

Lance's programme was interrupted by the timing of red flags during Friday's running.

Sebastian wore a tribute helmet during the weekend in honour of the late Dietrich Mateschitz.

On Saturday in FP3, Sebastian put in plenty of laps on the Medium tyre.

In qualifying, the team was unable to find an extra couple of tenths in the very tight midfield.

Sebastian set the same time as Mick Schumacher, but was unable to get a grid slot higher than 16th for the race.

Lance also did not make it out of Q1, and started the race at the back due to a penalty from the previous event.

Sebastian was ready to run an unconventional strategy in the race to try and move up the order.

Lance started at the back, but knew that anything could happen in the race.

Both Sebastian and Lance had successful starts once again, with Lance making up five positions in the first sequence of corners.

Lance's progress was interrupted by this move from Pierre Gasly, for which the AlphaTari driver was penalised.

Sebastian put in the longest stint of anybody starting on the Soft tyre, running over half of the race on his set.

Ultimately, in a race with few interruptions and little attrition, the team was not able to squeeze its way into the points on race day.
