The unveiling of our 2025 livery at F1 75 Live was a moment to savour but before Lance and Fernando arrived at The O2 in 007-style and were joined by Andy on stage, the trio revealed their excitement for the year ahead...
1 | Fernando on fine margins and the competitive order
"We need to see the cars on track in Bahrain and over the first few races because there are lots of different types of circuits in the early stages. After that, we will have a better idea of where we are.
"The aim for us is to improve on what we did last year. We've had two consecutive seasons in P5 in the Constructors' Championship. It's going to be a challenge, the field is going to be very tight, so small details will make a huge difference in terms of points and results."
2 | Fernando on the team of the future
"There have been a lot of new arrivals and Adrian Newey is joining in a few weeks so it's really encouraging for the future.
"With the change of regulations for 2026, it's an incredibly exciting time for the sport in general, but especially for our team. We're putting all the right building blocks in place and the whole organisation is pushing in the same direction. I feel very privileged to see everything from the inside."
3 | Andy on F1 75 Live
"It's amazing to be here. It's a remarkable event, getting all the teams together. It's almost like having an extra race in the calendar. It's nice for everybody to get back together after winter and to do it here as well at The O2. It's a spectacular venue and a great place for F1 to celebrate 75 years."
4 | Andy on life as CEO and Team Principal
"Most of the work I did previously at Mercedes and prior to that was largely based in the factory, chasing performance on a power unit. But in F1 you're always looking for improvements, no matter your role, and so from that side of things, the experience is just the same.
"There is, however, the outward facing bit of this role. I'm excited to represent the team. It's an amazing brand. It's an amazing group of people. The investment that's been put in is tremendous. And with new people joining all the time it's my job to get everybody together and everything working well."
5 | Andy on hitting the track
"We can't wait to get racing. I'm looking forward to being in Bahrain and getting feedback from both Lance and Fernando on the car. I'm keen to see how the tools we've got at the AMR Technology Campus tie in with the with the data we collect, but I most of all want to hear the feedback from the drivers which we can apply to keep moving forwards."
6 | Lance on the development of AMR25
"AMR25 is an evolution of last year's car and we're hoping we can make a step forward.
"There was a lot of experimenting throughout the course of last year, and I think we learnt a lot about why some of our upgrades didn't bring us what we wanted. Everything that's gone into the development of this year's car is really taken from all the lessons we learnt from last year. We're all excited to see how the new car feels."
7 | Fernando on 2026 and beyond
"You need to have everything in place to be successful in F1. There is no guarantee, and there is no prediction of what is going to happen in 2026, but you have to make sure that you have the tools, the facilities, the talent, the commitment, and the partners to give yourself a chance.
“For us to have Honda from 2026, to have Aramco with us, to have the facilities, to have the talent — both the existing people in the team and new people arriving — it's an exciting time. We're putting everything we need in place. Nothing is guaranteed but we're doing all we can to give ourselves a good chance."
