"There's no better feeling" – Otis Lawrence reflects on victory in the F1 Sim Racing World championship finale

A debut season to remember. Aston Martin Aramco Esports driver Otis Lawrence opens up about his second race win in the Formula One Sim Racing World Championship at the final event of the 2025 campaign.

Wrapping up the championship with a win he won't forget, 16-year-old rookie Otis capped off his season in style after clinching a dramatic victory on the final lap of the final race.

As he crossed the finish line, his emotions were evident.

"I've lost my voice absolutely screaming my lungs out. It was brilliant to get the win in such a good way," said Otis shortly after securing his second race victory. "There's no better feeling after working so hard for a win. I'm full of adrenaline and absolutely buzzing."

Reflecting on his debut season, Otis admitted, "I knew I would do well in my rookie season, but I didn't expect it to go this well. There were definitely ups and downs, but as a team, Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Esports Team has done such a great job. Duncan [Hofland] and Fab [Donoso] have been fantastic. Tijs [Rook], Axel [Benedetto], Miguel [Faísca] – all brilliant.

"Everyone has played a part in helping me to get to this moment, and I can't thank them all enough."

Balancing the pressures of school and exams alongside training, Otis has established himself as a promising driver with a bright future, and he's already focused on building upon his success.

"Next season is my main focus now. I'm going to try to win the Championship. With two race wins in my rookie season, I feel very confident. But first, I'm going to take a good break from the game, chill out, enjoy everything, catch up on some schoolwork and come back stronger next season."
