Rising singer-songwriter Andrew Cushin performs intimate live set for Aston Martin Aramco team members at the state-of-the-art AMR Technology Campus in the first instalment of The Soundcheck.
In a first-of-its-kind event for a Formula One team, Aston Martin Aramco welcomed singer-songwriter Andrew Cushin to the AMR Technology Campus to perform a special set for team members to mark the official launch of our new 'The Soundcheck' initiative.
A pioneering new series of musical events that bring together the worlds of music and Grand Prix racing, The Soundcheck will see Aston Martin Aramco curate and host live musical performances in the F1 paddock at select races across 2025.
The project aims to promote and champion new and emerging artists and grassroots music in an exclusive and intimate live setting, aligning with the team's commitment to support and foster creators and creativity.
The inaugural event took place in the new Brand Experience Centre at our state-of-the-art Technology Campus on 3 December, as Andrew took to the stage with his band alongside our AMR24 showcar to perform in front of our colleagues, who were invited to enjoy a memorable evening of live music and refreshments.
Andrew has been hailed by both Noel Gallagher and Pete Doherty as a major new talent and has already played support slots to Louis Tomlinson, Blossoms, The Lathums and Paul Weller.
Speaking after his set, Andrew said: "I loved performing at the AMR Technology Campus. I hadn't done anything intimate in a little while, and it was a welcome challenge to play for people who may not have necessarily heard my music before.
"The AMR Technology Campus is an impressive place, and I'm very honoured that I was asked to launch The Soundcheck.
"Initiatives like The Soundcheck are huge for upcoming artists because there are music venues up and down the country that are closing virtually every weekend. Without projects like this, new artists won't have the opportunity to play in front of a large audience.
"Having a brand like Aston Martin Aramco behind this initiative means it can only go one way, and that's definitely in the right direction.”
Will Hings, Aston Martin Aramco Head of Communications, added: "It was a special moment when Andrew stepped out to headline the stage of our new AMR Technology Campus.
"He is a rising star and we were delighted to launch The Soundcheck music series with an exclusive event for our staff. We wanted to find a way to bring F1 and music closer together and also celebrate up and coming music artists. Andrew's songs brought amazing energy to our Silverstone campus. It was the perfect way to launch this project before we take The Soundcheck trackside in 2025 and showcase a range of musical talents."
Andrew's new single Love is for Everyone is available now. His new album, by the same name, is released in May 2025. You can find out more about him via @andrewcushin on social media.
