Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team promotes STEM education with Cognizant

2021 British Grand Prix

During the 2021 British Grand Prix weekend, Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team invited 11 primary school children to the team's Silverstone HQ for an immersive learning experience to promote STEM education, in collaboration with Title Partner, Cognizant.

The budding engineers had the chance get a close look at the AMR21 on the factory lawn, in addition to hearing from Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, Paul McEvoy.

Cognizant and Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team are committed to hosting enhanced experience programmes to attract the next generation of future talent. 

Supported by Children's University Trust, the eleven students had unique insights into the various paths of STEM education.

The STEM Education Experience at Silverstone

As part of the mission to improve everyday lives, Cognizant partnered with Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team to invite 11 primary school children to the 2021 British Grand Prix for an immersive learning experience to promote STEM education.

Paul McEvoy, who has been with the team since completing his placement, spoke to the group about his career path and route into motorsport.

The long-term focus for both Cognizant and Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team is to make a tangible impact on the next generation of potential talent through community outreach, inspiring students to pursue careers in engineering making the motorsport industry more accessible.
