The best snaps from super Suzuka

The Japanese Grand Prix produced a highly eventful race at the Suzuka Circuit, and its rollercoaster circuit helped photographers produce some fantastic imagery whatever the elements during the weekend.

We've curated a selection of our favourite images from the Japanese Grand Prix weekend, featuring the brilliant fans and wild weather at the famed Suzuka Circuit.

Sebastian and Lance were more than ready to get on the track at their favourite circuit - Suzuka.

Sebastian left the garage at the start of Free Practice One to return to a circuit with many happy memories.

The weather was wet throughout Friday, in particular during the opening practice session.

Sebastian completed plenty of laps in FP2 in the challenging conditions.

Lance completed 21 laps during FP2, and picked up lots of data for what was expected to be a wet race.

Conditions had cleared up for Saturday, and a busy FP3 set the team up for a dry qualifying session.

Sebastian bided his time before showing his true pace on Saturday.

Lance improved on his final run in Q1, but a small mistake meant he missed out on a spot in Q2.

With brilliant laps in Q1 and Q2, Sebastian made his way into Q3 and secured ninth position on the grid.

Sebastian showed his appreciation for the Japanese fans on Saturday night.

Lance had a difficult Saturday, but rain expected for race day was set to provide plenty of opportunities for him.

When the race got going, Lance produced an epic opening lap and masterfully picked up seven places before a red flag was thrown.

The conditions were very tricky on the restart, but Lance continued his charge early on.

Sebastian gambled for Intermediates after early contact, putting him right back in contention in a net sixth place.

A late change to fresh tyres put Lance into play for points at the end of the shortened race.

Sebastian found himself battling with Fernando Alonso over sixth for much of the race, and beat him by just 11 thousandths of a second.

Lance ultimately was just short of the top 10, but the team left concluded this double-header with several points in the bag.
